All About Me

“I first started my journey at Bolitho Nursery in 2001 when I gained my level 3 Early Childhood Education qualification. I left the Nursery for a brief period between 2009 – 2013 where I gained my Degree and Early Years Teacher Status, I also qualified as an Early Years Assessor. I really missed the Nursery and the warm family feel it has, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to return in 2013. I was promoted to manager in 2016 and continue to thrive on the daily challenges that this brings! I am very fortunate to be working alongside such a fabulous team. In my spare time I enjoy sea swimming, exploring the countryside and socialising with family and friends – which usually involves cake!!”

All About Me

“I qualified in 2005 and have been fortunate to work in Early Years ever since, apart from an adventurous two year break where I worked as a Castle Tour Guide on St Michaels Mount, welcoming visitors and school children to the island. Otherwise I have worked in some of our wonderful local Primary Schools and Early Years Settings as SEN Support and Deputy Management. I joined Bolitho Nursery in 2013 shortly before having my son. My passion has always been supporting children with Special Educational Needs, giving them every opportunity to shine, alongside supporting their families to overcome any challenges and celebrate each and every achievement along the way. During my time at Bolitho Nursery I have been a Nursery Practitioner and Pre School Room Leader before my current roles. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the Cornish coast path with my husband and son, sea swimming and photography.”

All About Me

“I have always had an interest with working in the early years since a young age. I have been at Bolitho Nursery since 2021 and during this time I completed my level 3 childcare qualification at college. I am a big child at heart, who loves exploring the world around us, getting messy at any time, along with singing and dancing no matter how bad it is, which fits perfectly when working with children! The things that I enjoy the most is watching the children flourish each day and reach their goals, along with making close relationships with the children and their families. In 2024 I have become a toddler room senior practitioner, which I am loving, and I’m close to having my makaton certificate also. I am very passionate about makaton and using it day to day as it’s great for giving children another way to communicate and socialise. When at home I love going for sea swims, long coastal walks and socialising with the my friends which usually involve lots of singing and dancing”
