Early Years Practitioner – Toddler Room Lead

We are very excited to be recruiting exceptional childcare practitioners to join our team.

We are looking for a Toddler Room Lead Practitioner.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager and working as a team with all staff, 30-40 hours a week on a shift basis between 8:00am – 5:00pm.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a full and relevant Level 3 or above, Early Years qualification
  • Be willing to immerse themselves in the creative and imaginative world of toddlers; convincingly sip endless cups of tea with enthusiasm, embrace outdoor play whatever the weather, making mud pies and searching for ants, spiders and woodlice in the garden areas, read a book upside down with exciting voices whilst comforting children in front of you, behind you and on top of you!
  • Enhance and extend childrens play and learning with water, paint, gloop, musical instruments, mud, slime, cooking and much much more!
  • Be highly motivated, creative and passionate about Early Years play and learning.
  • Supervise, lead, support and inspire your team members.
  • Be approachable, friendly and able to communicate effectively at all times, possessing strong leadership skills.
  • Liaise with parents, helping to support their whole family.
  • Hold an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Have an excellent understanding of Early Years Practice including the 3 I’s, Cultural Capital and the Characteristics of Effective Learning.
  • Have 1 year of experience as a Nursery Room/Team Leader.
  • Have gained at least 2 years of experience within a nursery setting.
  • Hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate

The children in our toddler room are between 14 months and 30 months old. We also have a Baby Room and a joint Early 3’s and Pre School room.

Early Years Practitioner

We are very excited to be recruiting exceptional childcare practitioners to join our team.

We are looking for Nursery Practitioners, ideally Level 3 qualified. Students studying towards Level 3 would be considered or an apprenticeship could be discussed.

The successful applicant will be working as part of our creative and enthusiastic staff team, initially across all of our rooms, on a shift basis between 8:00am – 5:00pm, with varying shift patterns. Working hours can be discussed at interview, we can discuss shifts that total between 10 and 30 hours per week depending on employee and employer needs.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a full and relevant Level 3 or above, Early Years qualification (Desirable)
  • If not already qualified – be working towards a Level 3 or have intention to do so (Essential)
  • Be willing to immerse themselves in the creative and imaginative world of caring for children from 3 months to 4 years old; convincingly sip endless cups of tea with enthusiasm, embrace outdoor play whatever the weather, making mud pies and searching for ants, spiders and woodlice in the garden areas, read a book upside down with exciting voices whilst comforting children in front of you, behind you and on top of you!

Our nursery has 3 play spaces for different ages, our Baby Room, Toddler Room, and a joint Early 3’s and Pre School. Initially the succesful applicants will work across the different rooms.
