We offer quality learning experience for children

Partnerships With Parents

Find out more about how we develop our partnerships with parents to support your children's learning journey with us.

Key Person – Working in Partnership

Every child has a Key Person who is a familiar member of staff who they have regular contact and a secure relationship with.

As parents, you are encouraged to communicate regularly with your key worker at drop off and pick up times to share information.

In turn, your key worker will provide you with information about your child’s next steps that we are working towards at Nursery.  Each room has a Next Steps Tree on display that you are welcome to look at, at any time, this shows you the areas of learning your key worker is supporting your child with.

Sharing your children’s progress and achievements are vitally important to us, we achieve this through the use of the Nest Steps Tree, Tapestry and biannual Parent Consultations.

Tapestry – Our Online Learning Journeys

As a parent Tapestry allows you to view exciting achievements via a computer or smart phone. If you do not have internet access, then we can provide the service here for you if needed. Tapestry enables us to upload photographs, observations and reports relating to your child’s time with us.

Parent consultations

We offer consultations twice a year between yourselves as parents and your key person. This is a chance for both of you to share and celebrate your child’s progress and discuss any concerns. Your key person will also discuss your child’s ‘next steps’ and how we will plan to provide activities to support them to reach these steps.

Parental Involvement

Tapestry

We encourage families to upload comments, photographs and/or videos of your childs’ play, adventures, activities and achievements at home. These all contribute to your child’s development, creating a record of hoslitic learning between home and nursery!

Home Learning Bags – Supporting Next Steps

You are welcome to borrow our Home Learning Bags at anytime. We have created a range of bags to suport our children’s development through fun play activities that can be shared at home to promote partnerships with parents and you child’s next steps. Please share your play by uploading photographs and/or videos onto your Tapestry account.
