The Colour Monster – We love reading this story and we are incredibly good at linking our emotions to the colours in the story. This helps us to express ourselves and also develop our emotional literacy to greaten our understanding of our own emotions and those around us. We also talk lots about how to help ourselves, and each other, feel better if we are sad, worried or angry. We are great at thinking about how to make ourselves feel ‘calm’ or ‘happy’.
We also explore our emotions through our emotional doll puppets. This helps us to recognise facial expressions and body language. Plus we have a wide range of books that talk all about emotions too. We also create our own golden rules to promote kindenss and thoughtful behaviour.
